Next December 7 2017 at 7.00 pm LIGA presents a lecture by Brazilian architect Marta Moreira.
Marta Moreira is one of Brazil’s leading contemporary architects. A graduate of the University of Sao Paulo
and founding partner of MMBB Arquitectos, she is currently a member of the Executive Board of the Escola da
Cidade in Sao Paulo, works with the Pritzker Prize winner Paulo Mendes Da Rocha, and her work has won
recognition and been published in various countries around the world.

Her architecture studio MMBB was founded in 1991 together with Fernando de Mello Franco and Milton
Braga, and for over twenty years has worked on projects of different scales, sectors and settings, including
institutional buildings, social facilities and urban infrastructure. The practice combines a thoughtful and critical
approach in its daily practice with cultural and academic work, participating in and organizing seminars,
cultural events and exhibitions, together with teaching and university research.
