The selection of photographs was made with the intention of creating a dialogue between them. The images highlight the tension between the plaza, the buildings, and the surrounding natural context. One of the photographs was taken from the plaza, capturing the monumentality of the built structures. Meanwhile, the other photograph showcases the architecture of emptiness — a vast open space that could only exist in relation to the surrounding buildings and natural landscape. It was taken from the Government Building featured in the first image, establishing a visual conversation between the two. A dialogue of solid and void, of high and low, of the individual and the collective.
